about the role

we are seeking an experienced electrical manager to join our growing data centre team. this is a key leadership position responsible for overseeing all electrical systems, maintenance activities, compliance, and critical infrastructure performance across a high-availability environment.

the ideal candidate will have a strong background in mission-critical facilities, exceptional technical knowledge, and the ability to lead engineering teams in a fast-paced, 24/7 operation.

key responsibilities

  * 

    lead and manage the electrical engineering team within the data centre.

  * 

    oversee the operation, maintenance and optimisation of critical electrical systems (hv/lv switchgear, ups, generators, power distribution, lighting).

  * 

    ensure all electrical works comply with statutory regulations and industry standards.

  * 

    develop and implement planned preventive maintenance (ppm) schedules to maximise uptime.

our client is a property services organisation and they are looking for an experienced electrical engineer to join their team working on a high rise building in manchester city centre.
 
 the successful electrical engineer will ideally have the below experience:
 
 - maintenance background
 - electrical bias
 - facilities management experience
 - smoke vent testing
 - timer system for water heaters
 - good it skills
 
 qualifications and documents needed:
 
 - 18th edition
 - nvq or c&g level 3 electrical qualification
 - basic dbs
 
 pay rate is £25ph cis
