hi, i’m an apprenticeship officer for carpentry & joinery at forth valley college at falkirk and currently have two 2nd year apprentices joiners who have recently been let go due to workload issues with their previous employer.
they are both motivated, reliable, and have already gained solid on-site experience alongside their college training. it would be a real shame for them not to complete their apprenticeship.

Carpenter (1st & 2nd Fix)

we are currently recruiting experienced joiners for a project in leith, edinburgh.

the role will initially involve 1st fix / roughing works, progressing through to 2nd fix and finishing works as the project develops. this is a great opportunity to see a job through from early stages right through to completion.

duties will include:

  * 

    all aspects of 1st fix joinery

  * 

    2nd fix works including doors, skirtings, facings and finishings

  * 

    working to programme and maintaining high quality standards

requirements:

  * 

    proven experience in both roughing and finishing works

  * 

    own tools and ppe

  * 

    strong attention to detail, particularly on finishing stages

parking is available close to site.
