Slinger / Signaller

A Slinger Signaller role in the UK involves communicating with crane operators and banksmen to ensure safe load movement on construction sites. Key responsibilities include:
- Guiding Crane Operations: Using hand signals or radios to direct crane operators during lifts, ensuring loads are clear of obstacles.
- Site Safety: Maintaining a safe working area, spotting hazards, and enforcing site rules.
- Load Checks: Verifying loads are secure before signalling the crane operator to move them.
- Team Coordination: Liaising with banksmen, slingers, and other site workers to manage load movements safely.

Typical requirements for a Slinger Signaller role include:
- Training: CITB Slinger/Signaller certification or equivalent.
- Experience: Prior experience on construction sites preferred, though not always necessary with training.
- Skills: Good communication, spatial awareness, and ability to work at heights if needed

Our client is currently seeking to recruit an experienced Crane Supervisor for cover in Glasgow starting Monday 13th April for 2 days cover.

You must be prepared to do a drug and alcohol test if required.

You must have:
